Does Your Grief Feel Even Harder Right Now?

If you're dreading the holidays in some way, you're not alone. For many people navigating grief, this time of year brings an extra weight—a heaviness that's hard to name but impossible to ignore.
Maybe you're facing your first holiday season after a significant loss. Maybe the traditions that once brought joy now feel hollow. Maybe you're just trying to get through each day while everyone around you seems to be celebrating.
If any of this resonates, this workshop is for you.
Introducing: Writing Through Grief
We're excited to announce a new online grief writing workshop—a collaboration between Grounded Grief and Nova Grief Support, led by grief specialists Katherine Hatch, LCSW and Jennifer Lanouette, LCSW.
This 4-session workshop is designed to support those who are grieving any type of loss, and who are looking for:
A space where you can write AND talk (or not talk)
Practical tools for navigating this time
Connection with others who understand what you're going through
Support as you face the impending holiday season with trepidation
What to Expect
Each session will provide participants with:
Intentional Reflection - Time and space to honor what you're feeling and experiencing
Centering and Grounding - Practices to help you stay present with yourself
Writing Exercises - Guided prompts designed specifically for grief processing
Pragmatic Tools - Real, usable strategies for navigating difficult moments
Take-Home Writing Invitations - Continued exploration between sessions
Community Connection - Space to connect with others who are also navigating grief
Why Writing?
Writing can be a powerful container for grief. It allows us to:
Express what's hard to say out loud
Process emotions at our own pace
Discover what we're actually feeling
Create something tangible from our internal experience
Bear witness to our own journey
You don't need to be "a writer" to benefit from this workshop. You just need to be willing to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and see what emerges.
