SERVICES
Grief isn't a disorder — it's part of being human. We work with individuals, families, and those in caregiving or helping professions who are navigating loss, with the goal of making grief less lonely.
We provide grief-specific therapy and support in person in Portland, Oregon and Washington, D.C., and via secure telehealth across Oregon, Washington State, Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Tennessee.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual grief therapy gives adults, and families, dedicated space to process loss — bereavement, complicated or prolonged grief, anticipatory grief, disenfranchised grief, or non-death losses like divorce, estrangement, or a health diagnosis. We also work with those in caregiving or helping professions navigating loss in their own lives. Sessions are available in person at our Portland, OR and Washington, D.C. offices, and remotely for clients anywhere in our licensed states.
Sessions typically run 50–55 minutes. We're primarily private-pay, and we're paneled with Kaiser Permanente (Northwest) and Aetna (Oregon); we're also actively expanding our insurance partnerships on both coasts. For all other states and plans, we provide superbills so you can seek out-of-network reimbursement, and we offer a limited number of sliding-scale slots. We accept major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, checks, and cash.
Questions about fit, fees, or format? Visit our FAQs or reach out — we'll match you with a therapist licensed in your state who specializes in your type of loss.
GRIEF GROUPS
Grief groups offer a structured way to move through loss alongside others who understand it, easing the isolation that grief so often brings. We offer both in-person and online groups, each focused on a particular kind of loss or stage of grieving. Groups are typically more affordable than individual sessions while still providing expert clinical guidance.

TRAINING & CONSULTATION
Tailored grief and loss training for clinical organizations and clinicians building capacity to sit with loss — including complex, prolonged, complicated, disenfranchised, non-death, and traumatic grief. Sessions are customized to your team's size, setting, and clinical focus.

CLINICAL SUPERVISION
Individual and group supervision to help therapists grow more confident being with loss in all its forms — complex, prolonged, complicated, disenfranchised, non-death, and traumatic grief. Supervision is led by our founder, Katherine Hatch | MSW, LCSW, LICSW, LCSW-C, a grief and trauma therapist with a background in palliative care and hospice, along with team members trained in Complicated Grief Treatment and Prolonged Grief Therapy.

ORGANIZATIONAL GRIEF SUPPORT
Has your organization experienced loss — the death of a colleague, a tragedy, or a loss no one feels able to confront? Organizational Grief Support offers 1–2 hours of tailored, in-person or virtual support to help your organization navigate grief and loss together.
(This is supportive consultation, not crisis or emergency intervention. If you or someone at your organization is in crisis, please call 911 or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.)
