ABOUT ME
I am a grief and trauma therapist who enjoys supporting adolescents, children, and adults in Washington, D.C. I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Howard University and have worked in schools throughout the District for the past nine years.
I started my career in grief and loss work at the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing in 2016, and I have facilitated trainings on grief, loss, and trauma for school staff and parents. I am also Perinatal Mental Health Trained as of 2024.
As a therapist, I believe that the client is the expert on their grief and their journey. Together, we will work to create a safe space where you can achieve healing and liberation from despair. I believe every grief experience is unique; I work with my clients to enhance resilience and increase self-compassion. I am passionate about creating safe spaces for folxs to process through the hard transitions and feelings that come with grief, loss, trauma, and life’s challenges. I believe that humans are meant to heal in community, and I am honored whenever my clients invite me into theirs.
WHAT KEEPS ME GROUNDED
When I am not working, I enjoy salsa dancing, going for walks, reading, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
