Mick Neustadt | LICSW
Grief & Trauma Therapist
East Team

ABOUT ME
I am a grief therapist serving individuals throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. From the beginning of my work as a therapist, I have been drawn to supporting people through grief, loss, and life transitions, and to creating a space where difficult experiences can be approached with care, honesty, and compassion.
My work is informed by years of experience working with people of all ages in schools, counseling centers, community settings, and private practice. In addition to my clinical work, I facilitate professional trainings on grief, loss, trauma, and mindfulness through the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing Training Institute.
Clients often describe my approach as warm, grounded, and thoughtful. I see therapy as a collaborative process built on trust, curiosity, and respect for your unique experience. Together, we create space to explore your experiences around grief and loss while gaining perspective and insight.
In a culture that often encourages people to move past grief too quickly, I have seen countless people realize the value in slowing down and attending to what loss asks of us. I have witnessed how grief work, when approached with support and intention, can help people feel more connected to themselves, their relationships, and what matters most in their lives.
WHAT KEEPS ME GROUNDED
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors (especially with my dog), meditation, working out, and watching baseball both at home and in person.
I live in Maryland with my wife, and have a son who is in college.
