ABOUT ME

I specialize in grief counseling for children, teens, and adults throughout Oregon and Washington. I have extensive professional experience in end-of-life work, grief care, child development, and adolescent mental health.

A former Midwesterner, I received my graduate studies in social work from Loyola University Chicago. However, I count among my most powerful teachers the kids I’ve worked with over the years who have humbled me with questions I didn’t know how to answer and encouraged me to learn more. I’ve witnessed that, given authentic, grief-informed, and developmentally appropriate support, children and teens have tremendous abilities to navigate loss and build resilience.

Because grief isn't contained in a vacuum, I am committed to care that is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, gender-expansive-affirming, and culturally humble. Along with kids and teens, I have a special interest in working with adults who are on their own grief journey while also caring for a grieving child or teen. I recognize that one of the best ways to support a grieving child is to support, bolster, and empower the adults who care for them.

WHAT KEEPS ME GROUNDED

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature with my family, watching whale documentaries, and paddle boarding.
