ABOUT ME
I come to this work through my own experience of grief—a path so deeply interwoven with joy that each has held the other as I’ve moved through this life. Through loss and transition, I have learned that there is no need to rush or to force a way forward (as much as we all may want to).
Grief has many paths, but only one that is yours to create as you move through it. The same is true of joy. We begin by trusting what shows up to lead the way.
For the past fifteen years, I have shared deep companionship with animals in my role as a professional dog walker. It was through years of walking—in every season and all kinds of weather—that this path began to form. Observing the natural shifts in nature taught me to recognize and accept the natural changes within myself—meeting them with an open heart rather than judgment. My support is grounded in practical tools that help you remain steady as things shift—both within you and around you—always guided by mindfulness and compassion.
I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Since then, I have evolved through a rich blend of training and experience—ranging from Case Management and Support Group Facilitation for people living with HIV/AIDS at Whitman-Walker Clinic in Northern Virginia, to becoming a Massage Therapist, a Breathe for Change Yoga Teacher, and a Social Emotional Learning Facilitator (SEL*F). I later completed a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, and most recently, trained as a Grief Tender through the Dark Woods of Grief: Roots and Ritual program.
I offer virtual and walking sessions throughout the year to support individuals moving through grief, loss, and life transitions that can feel too heavy to carry alone.
WHAT KEEPS ME GROUNDED
I find my grounding through the lessons I've gathered from nature—observing the natural shifts in the seasons and meeting life's changes with an open heart. I value the deep companionship of animals and the steadying practice of walking through all kinds of weather.
