This online grief writing workshop led by Grief specialists, Katherine Hatch, LCSW, and Jennifer Lanouette, LCSW, aims to support those who are grieving any type of loss. This 4-session workshop will provide participants with intentional reflection, centering and grounding, writing exercises, pragmatic tools, take home writing invitations, and space to connect with others who are also navigating grief and having some trepidation about the impending holiday season. 


  • When: 4 Friday Sessions including November 7th, November 14th, November 21st, and December 5th

  • Time: 10am-11amPST / 1pm-2pmEST

  • Where: Remote via Zoom

  • Number of spots: 12 maximum

  • Cost: $180 ($45 per session)*


About the Facilitators:


Katherine Hatch, MSW, LCSW

Katherine is the founder of Grounded Grief and a grief and trauma therapist working with people in Oregon, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. She started her career in grief and loss as a clinical social worker in palliative care and hospice in 2010. Katherine  received my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work. Katherine has also served as a training consultant for the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing in Washington D.C., facilitating grief and trauma trainings for clinicians.


Jennifer Lanoutette, MSW, LCSW

Jennifer is a licensed clinical social worker with Nova Grief Support in the state of Virginia, specializing in grief and traumatic loss. She received her Masters in Social Work in 2016 from The Catholic University of America in Washington DC and began her social work career in hospice and palliative care, providing support to individuals facing a life limiting illness and their families. In 2022, she completed her certification in grief and trauma therapy with Wendt Center for Loss and Healing in Washington D.C. Prior to her career in social work, Jennifer completed her undergraduate degree in Systems Engineering and worked in data analytics and consulting. She brings a bit of her practical, analytical nature to her counseling work and enjoys partnering with clients to identify concrete tools for coping. Jennifer’s approach to counseling is accessible, genuine, and respects that you are the expert on your unique grief and lived experience.
